Rammstein Announce ‘Live in Mexico City’ Concert Film
The film hits theaters worldwide beginning November 4, with a live album following November 20.
Rammstein have announced Live in Mexico City, a new concert film documenting the German metal band’s three-night stadium run in Mexico City. The film will hit theaters worldwide for a limited time beginning November 4, with a full-length live album and home-video editions arriving November 20.
The film captures Rammstein’s performances at Mexico City’s Foro Sol on October 1, 2, and 4, 2022. It was a massive feat with seven 747s loaded with gear, staging, and pyrotechnics, along with over 200 crew members to bring the show to life. The setlist included classics like “Armee der Tristen,” “Deutschland,” “Du riechst so gut,” “Sonne,” and “Du hast,” as well as a rare performance of “Te quiero puta!”
Nearly 200,000 fans attended the three sold-out shows in total, which served as the finale of the band’s North American stadium tour that ran from 2019-2024. It also marked the first and so far only time they brought their full European production to the continent.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Paul Dugdale, whose previous credits include concert films and projects with The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Elton John, and Adele, Live in Mexico City was filmed in 4K. The feature-length production captures Rammstein’s elaborate stadium spectacle alongside performances spanning the band’s career.
Live in Mexico City will receive a wide range of physical editions alongside its digital release, including a two-CD set, Blu-ray, four-LP editions and a deluxe version featuring a nearly 300-page hardcover photo book including previously unpublished images.
Tickets for the film and album pre-orders are on sale now, with the worldwide theatrical run beginning November 4. France will receive the film on November 6, while Japan has screenings scheduled for November 5 and 18. The live album and physical editions arrive November 20.
The announcement follows a year of archival activity for Rammstein. In February, the band made the B-sides and remixes from its previous singles available across streaming services. April also marked the 25th anniversary of their third album, Mutter.
