Sam Hunt has announced the 3 April release on MCA Nashville of his new, sophomore album Southside. The multi-platinum-selling artist, one of the biggest stars to arrive on the country scene in the last decade, has also confirmed details of The Southside Summer Tour 2020 with special guests Kip Moore, Travis Denning, ERNEST and a DJ set by Brandi Cyrus.
The new album will include Hunt’s current top five country airplay smash ‘Kinfolks’ as well as the introspective ballad ‘Sinning With You’ and much more. Southside is the long-awaited sequel to his debut album Montevallo, which was released in 2014 and went triple platinum. ‘Kinfolks’ made Hunt’s joint-highest debut on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart; Hunt co-wrote the song with his longtime collaborators Zach Crowell, Jerry Flowers and Josh Osborne.
The album contained such massive hits as ‘Leave The Night On’ and ‘Take Your Time’ and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Album. It’s still the bestselling debut album by a country artist since 2011. He has total global streams of 6.85 billion and has earned 22 million RIAA-certified units.
