Trading in her uniform of jeans and a white t-shirt, this celebrated pop talent breaks out a little sparkle as she dances with unbridled joy. While the song is about the end of a relationship, ‘Don’t Feel Like Crying’ makes the case for getting over a breakup through sheer will and massive synth-pop hooks.

Since first emerging on the scene with her defiant single ‘Don’t Kill My Vibe’, the 22-year-old singer-songwriter has been one of the most buzzed about talents both in Europe and the US. After winning BBC’s Sound of 2018, the pop ingénue has played Glastonbury and will headline her first tour starting in November 2019.

After releasing her debut Sucker Punch on 8 March, the album has been garnering glowing reviews, with the NME writing: “The Norwegian superstar-in-waiting comes good on a debut album laden with potential chart bangers, flexing the edgier side of her likeable pop persona”.

Having a major hand in composing most of the album, Sigrid spoke about her motivation behind many of tracks.

“There are ballads, there are songs about friendship, there are songs about having a crush, there are songs about business. The theme is that there is no theme. The pop genre is so broad that I feel I have so much freedom and space to make whatever I want to make.”
