Today, the organisers have added Slayer, Anthrax, Lamb Of God, Smashing Pumpkins, Dream Theater, Eagles Of Death Metal, Blackberry Smoke, Alien Weaponry, Badflower, Black Futures, I Prevail, The Interrupters and Jinger.

They’ll be joined by Man With A Mission, Nothing, Nowhere, Our Last Night, Riding The Low, Royal Republic, State Champs, Underside, Whitechapel and Yours Truly, while Zebrahead will also appear.

Download 2019 will see Smashing Pumpkins make their debut at the festival, while the weekend will also see Slayer’s final performance as they tour for the last time before calling it a day. Next year will also mark 10 years since Dream Theater played the famous site.

Def Leppard will play the whole of their legendary Hysteria album, with frontman Joe Elliott saying: “We are delighted to be going back to headline the UK Download in 2019!

“The festival has a very special place in our hearts and it’s such a great place to play. We will be playing Hysteria in full – yes, in full – plus a load more of the hits, and we are going to put on a very special show for our UK fans. Can’t wait to see you all there!”

Over 100,000 Downloaders descended upon the hallowed grounds of Donington Park for the 2018 festival. There were legendary performances from Avenged Sevenfold, Guns N’ Roses and Ozzy Osbourne, plus over 100 other world famous rock, metal, punk pop acts performed across four stages.

Tickets For the 2019 Download Festival are now on sale through the event’s official website.
