Thunderpussy Premiere Fierce Single ‘Powerhouse’ Off New ‘Milk It’ EP

Seattle rockers Thunderpussy storm back onto the scene with their new single, ‘Powerhouse’ featuring Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith.

‘Powerhouse’ the second single off their new EP, Milk It, out today and follows the previously shared, ‘Never Know’.

“It is an ode, an anthem to those who have been dealt a difficult hand in life but continue to persevere and push through,” says lead singer Molly Sides of the new track.

“It’s a reminder that there are no limits, no boundaries for the strength and resilience of the feminine spirit. A spirit, a superpower that lives within us all.” This also marks the first new music featuring the band’s new drummer, Lindsey Elias.

“‘Never Know’ was a labour of lust!,” says Sides. “We dove deep, got stuck, and let it go. Turns out, it came back to us with a new energy and a new drummer! This was our first experience recording in LA with a group of producers that blew us away. We feel like the sound is something we’d been searching for for a while and ended up being there all along. You truly never know what will happen when you let something go. If it’s meant to be, it always finds a way back!”

Following the release of their EP, the band also shared they’re already at work on their second album, the follow-up to their 2018 self-titled release, on which Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready lent guitar and production.
