Pop icon Justin Bieber has dropped his upcoming album’s lead single, ‘Yummy,’ an infectious new track, which is out now on Def Jam Recordings. “Yeah, you got that yummy-yum,” he repeats in the song’s catchy hook before adding, “And you stay flexin’ on me.” You can check the track’s lyric video out below.

Bieber’s upcoming album, which doesn’t yet have a release date, would mark his first solo project since 2015’s Purpose. During his musical break, the star did, however, dabble in collaboration, teaming up on a number of songs including BloodPop’s ‘Friends,’ DJ Khaled’s ‘No Brainer,’ Ed Sheeran’s ‘I Don’t Care,’ Dan + Shay’s ‘10,000 Hours’ and a guest verse on Billie Eilish’s ‘bad guy.’

As well as teasing the arrival of ‘Yummy’ in his Christmas Eve Twitter announcement, Bieber also announced a new docu-series, Justin Bieber: Seasons which sees him assessing the mistakes of his past and chronicling the making of his new album.

“As humans we are imperfect, my past, my mistakes, all the things I’ve been through, I believe I’m right where I’m supposed to be and God has me right where he wants me,” Bieber remarks in the first clip from the series.

As he walks through the desert, Bieber is then heard explaining how the album differs from 2015’s Purpose.

“I feel like this is different, just because of where I’m at in my life,” he explains.

The series will premiere on YouTube on 27 January at 1pm ET (6pm GMT), with new episodes set to arrive on subsequent Mondays and Wednesdays. The docu-series will feature contributions from the people around Bieber, including manager Scooter Braun and wife Hailey.

The series brings Bieber back to platform where it all began for him, when he was just an aspiring singer posting videos on YouTube before he skyrocketed to fame in 2007 after he was discovered. He is currently the most subscribed artist on YouTube with 47.8 million subscribers.
