The Isle of Wight Festival, which will take place over the weekend of 11 June, continues to expand its exciting 2020 line-up, promoting a musically diverse collection of talent that will surely enthral a cross-generation of audiences. The original, three-man line-up of the Black Eyed Peas, Razorlight, and You Me At Six have just been announced, as well as All Saints, Natasha Bedingfield, and rising neo-soul artist, Joy Crookes.

Two headliners will make their debut at the festival: singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi, who is enjoying the success of his two Brit Award wins (Best New Artist and Song of the Year for his chart-topping hit ‘Someone You Loved’), as well as musical icon (and American Idol judge) Lionel Richie.

Richie said in a statement: “I’m excited to be playing at The Isle of Wight Festival next summer. It’s the first time I’ve performed at the festival and I can’t think of a better way to start the summer! It’s a festival steeped in music history – Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones have all headlined and I’m honoured to be joining the esteemed list! See you all there.”

Headliners also include pop legends Duran Duran, who will be making their exclusive festival appearance, electronica pioneers the Chemical Brothers, and Snow Patrol, who recently released Reworked, a collection of their biggest hits from the last 25 years, reimagined by the band in present-day, plus three new songs. Also confirmed for the three-day line-up are Dido, Primal Scream, Kaiser Chiefs and Supergrass, plus the Jimi Hendrix tribute act, Are You Experienced?, Maxïmo Park and Lightning Seeds.

As one of the earliest events of its kind, the hallowed Isle of Wight Festival began in 1968 as part of the counterculture movement. Though that iteration of the festival only lasted three years, it drew acts like John Lennon and Yoko Ono, The Who, Bob Dylan, the Band and Miles Davis. Revived in 2002, the annual festival on the British island has since hosted such artists as Amy Winehouse, R.E.M., Kings of Leon, Muse and Fleetwood Mac.

Weekend tickets for the festival start at £185.
