Help Post Malone Decide Where To Donate One Million Dollars

Inspired by the outpouring of support and donations during his Nirvana live-stream tribute last Friday, Post Malone has announced that he is offering up one million dollars of his own money to donate to a host of charities – and he’s putting the power in the hands of his fans to decide how, and where, to distribute the funds.

Malone’s money will support a variety of causes, including COVID-19 frontline responders, disaster relief, education, homelessness, hunger, mental health, veterans, and more. Fans can submit their suggestions by texting 817-270-6440.
“Not everyone has the ability to financially support causes that may be close to them or that have helped them in the past”, said Malone in a press release. “The fans are the absolute best and I want to give them the chance to give to charities that mean something to them”.
As of yesterday, Alternative Press reported that Malone’s live-stream raised over $4.3 million in donations, while the first hour alone netted one million dollars from fans. All donations went directly to The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for The World Health Organization (WHO) in support of COVID-19 relief efforts. Additionally, Google pledged to match all donations at a 2:1 rate.
Joined by guitarist Nick Mack, songwriter and producer Brian Lee on bass and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, Malone played for over an hour, covering such Nirvana classics as ‘Lithium’, ‘In Bloom’ and ‘Come As You Are’. Malone’s 15-song set even won approval from Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, who tweeted enthusiastically throughout the set, declaring at one point, “I don’t think these fellows can play any better. They are on fire!!!!”
Throughout quarantine, the genre-bending Dallas, TX superstar has been busy working on a follow-up to his best-selling third album, Hollywood’s Bleeding.
