Alan Jackson Announces Drive-In Shows In Alabama In June
The Country Music Hall of Fame inductee will be playing to an audience of some 2,000 parked vehicles.
Country superstar Alan Jackson has announced plans for two drive-in shows next month in Alabama. They’re the latest example of the way in which artists are offering fans a live music experience while maintaining safety guidelines during the coronavirus crisis.
The first of the Small Town Drive-In shows, presented by Pepsi, will take place on 5 June in Cullman, AL, on the open field site of the long-running Rock the South festival. The following night, Jackson will be in Fairhope, AL to play a show on the grounds of Oak Hollow Farm. Detailed information about each location and event can be found at AlanJacksonDriveIn.com.

The concerts will offer the Country Music Hall of Fame inductee’s adoring fans the chance to enjoy favourites from his 30 years of hits in a live setting. He’ll be playing to an audience of some 2,000 parked vehicles. uDiscover Music reported last November that the star was planning an extensive 2020 tour before lockdown conditions were imposed.
Both events will be staged in accordance with, and while promoting, CDC and Alabama state health guidelines regarding social distancing and other practices. Concert-goers will be required to stay with their vehicles, and food and drink concessions will be provided only via telephone orders with delivery to vehicles.
Get there early for Farley
The Cory Farley Band, who frequently play at Jackson’s AJ’s Good Time Bar in downtown Nashville, will be the opening act for the shows. Tickets for Alan Jackson’s Small Town Drive-In concerts go on sale tomorrow (27) at 10:00am CT at the above link. General admission price per vehicle, for a maximum of two passengers, is $99.99. Additional passenger tickets may be purchased for $39.99. There’s a limited amount of VIP parking, situated closest to the stage, starting at $199.99.
