Juanes Shares Romantic New Single, ‘Una Noche Contigo’
The Colombian superstar’s new song is a throwback serenade about unexpectedly finding love.
The Colombian superstar Juanes has shared a new single, “Una Noche Contigo” (“One Night With You”). Produced by Nico Cotton, the throwback serenade about unexpectedly finding love: “Una noche contigo/Vale más que mil años/Una noche contigo/Es vivir un Milagro” (“One night with you/Is worth more than a thousand years/One night with you/Is living a miracle.”) “Una Noche Contigo” is the first single from Juanes’ upcoming and eagerly awaited 12th album.
In a statement, Juanes said how the song was inspired by a variety of influences. “In 1962, Otis Redding released a song called ‘These Arms of Mine.’ I wasn’t even born yet, but Sebastián Krys played me the recording, and I was immediately inspired. Then came a songwriting session with Edgar Barrera, and some lyrical editing with Julio Reyes, until we finally got into the studio to produce it with Nico Cotton. The result is ‘Una Noche Contigo,’ a completely new sound for me—one that feels like a perfect balance. It’s something fresh for my music, yet it evokes those vintage and romantic vibes I love so much—something I’ve always found in José José, Juan Gabriel, and The Beatles, and that has deeply inspired me.”
For the song’s video, Juanes worked with the young Columbian-American video director STILLZ, known for his Cannes Lion-winning work with Rosalía, in addition to projects with Bad Bunny, Omar Apollo, and more. The facial recognition dreamscape also provides the basis for the single’s cover art, designed and created by Juanes.

In July, Juanes heads to the United States. His appearances include stops at the Washington D.C. area venue Wolftrap, a headline slot at Chicago’s Ravina Festival, the Hollywood Bowl, and the Napa, California Blue Note Summer Sessions.
Last year, Juanes stopped by NPR’s Tiny Desk to honor the beginning of Latin Music Month. The rocker performed some of his biggest hits, including “Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor,” “Cecilia,” “Mala Gente,” “La Luz,” and “A Dios Le Pido.”
