Andrew Watt, Hit-Boy, and Cohen executive produced the album, with Questlove as music supervisor. Its tracklist includes “Richer Than Elon,” “Family,” “Ali Ali Ali,” “Life in West Staines” featuring Jon Batiste, and “Who Iz I?” The remaining tracks are “Cash & Collect” by Flowdan, “It’s Just Us 2” by Ms Banks, “Any Fool Can See (They’re Falling)” by The G Spot, “My Projects: Reloaded / Staines Upon Thames” by Coo Coo Cal and Ali G, and “Fix It Up.”
The film follows Ali G after more than 20 years away. He learns that his long-term girlfriend, Julie, is eight months pregnant, then travels from Staines to America in search of a way to support his family.
Cohen makes his feature directorial debut with the film, which also marks the character’s return to the big screen. Ali G addressed the soundtrack’s producers and music supervisor in a characteristically boastful statement: “A$AP, Drake and Kendrick better check demselves before me wreck demselves coz dere a new rap king in town, Ali G. Me rhymes is tighter dan me Julie’s batty crease and sicker dan someone wiv a terrible cold or flu like symptoms. Check out me movie soundtrack produced by Hit-boy and Andrew Watt, wiv Questlove as Music Supervizor. Between dem, dese 3 geezers has won 14 Grannies. Respek,” said Ali G.
