NEEDTOBREATHE Releases ‘Never Gonna Deserve Ya’ With Evan Honer

NEEDTOBREATHE has released “Never Gonna Deserve Ya,” a new song featuring Evan Honer. The track will appear on the band’s forthcoming deluxe album, The Long Surrender and The Fellow Passengers of Pain, due November 19 via MCA.

The band described the recording as a straightforward performance, saying, “Like the other songs on this project, it’s just the band in a room playing with no tricks.” Honer said his first onstage performance was a NEEDTOBREATHE song. “I think this song rocks so hard and you can dance to it pretty easily if you try,” he added.

The expanded edition builds on The Long Surrender, produced by Dave Cobb. It adds six songs, with features from Honer, Jonah Kagen, Anne Wilson, Bre Kennedy and others. “Never Gonna Deserve Ya” follows “Past The Gates,” featuring Anne Wilson, and “Can’t Apologize,” featuring Kagen.

NEEDTOBREATHE is also set to begin the second leg of its The Long Surrender tour on February 18, 2027, in Omaha, Nebraska. The 22-date US run will visit cities including Minneapolis, Kansas City, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Orlando and Houston before ending March 20. Drew & Ellie Holcomb, Conner Smith and The National Parks will join select dates.
