Diana Silvers Announces Sophomore Album ‘Daughter of Sorts’

Diana Silvers will release her sophomore album, Daughter of Sorts, on November 13 via Capitol Records. Written by Silvers and co-produced with Jason Lader, the record was made at the Houdini mansion in Laurel Canyon and centers on loss, grief, and the experience of growing up.

Silvers has released the double single “Daughter” and “Plans,” along with a self-directed video for both songs. The tracks were the first songs she and Lader made for the album. Fabrizio Moretti and Nicolai Fraiture of The Strokes, as well as Cole Preston and Dylan Minnette of Wallows, also contributed to the record. Daughter of Sorts is available to preorder.

Silvers said that revisiting the two songs helped her connect the album’s themes to grief. “As I listened back to ‘Daughter’ and ‘Plans,’ the first two songs Jason [Lader] and I made for this record, I realized there is this whole other side to growing up: Death. Grief is psychedelic, surreal, painful, confusing, and sometimes extraordinarily beautiful. It is infinite and finite all at once. What at first felt like a curse, had and has started to feel like a privilege. It is a privilege to be able to explore and express and understand the reckoning that is growing up, through music. It is a privilege to share my sophomore album, Daughter of Sorts.”

Silvers first became known as an actress and model. The California native studied cello, learned guitar, and made mix CDs while growing up. She released her debut single “June” in 2025, followed by “Airplane.” Both songs preceded her debut album, From Another Room. She made her live debut at Newport Folk Festival, then supported Jon Batiste on his 2025 North American tour and performed with Fletcher in Los Angeles.

To mark the album’s release, Silvers has scheduled two headlining performances: November 17 at Dynasty Typewriter in Los Angeles and December 1 at Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn.
