Atlanta rapper Karrahbooo is back with a new song, “No Cap.” It’s her first new release since dropping her debut mixtape, Not Da 2, last month. Many listeners first became familiar with the track when she previewed it as a snippet on her Instagram earlier this month, racking up over 200 million views across platforms.

Karrahbooo’s Not Da 2 followed a series of popular singles, including “Runnin’ Late,” “U Got It,” “No Hook,” and “WYD.” She’s also known for her collaborations with Lil Yachty’s collective Concrete Boyz, which include appearances on the crew albums It’s Us Vol. 1 and It’s Us Vol. 2. Lil Yachty is among the features on Not Da 2, appearing alongside Houston rapper Monaleo and Karrahbooo’s Georgia compatriot Zukenee. Mike WiLL Made-It protege Truebeatzz, who has worked with Karrahbooo in the past, helmed the production.

When it dropped, the release quickly became Karrahbooo’s biggest streaming week of her career. In an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year, Karrahbooo said it felt “kind of exciting and nerve-wracking” to have her first proper solo project out in the world,” adding: “I feel so many ways.”

After spending some time out of the spotlight, Karrahbooo has returned to the public eye this year. She recently gave in-depth interviews to Our Generation Music and Kids Take Over discussing her career, and also joined Lil Yachty onstage during the final night of the Concrete Boys Tour at Atlanta’s Center Stage.

Karrahbooo also dropped a few hints to Rolling Stone about a forthcoming debut album, which has yet to be announced. Although details remained limited, she spoke “enthusiastically” to the publication about collaborating with the rising Ghanaian singer Moliy, as well as the rapper-producer Laila! “My mixtape, OK, it’s good,” she said. “But I want my album to be great.”
