HEADSEND Releases Second EP ‘A Delicate Balance’
The five-track release was recorded live in Byron Bay with producer Nick DiDia.
HEADSEND have released their second EP, A Delicate Balance, a five-track collection led by the new single “Sit With.” The band recorded the project live in Byron Bay with producer Nick DiDia. A video for “Sit With,” filmed in a studio and on the streets of Los Angeles, accompanies the release.

The EP follows the trio’s debut, Angel Glands, and includes the previously released songs “Biopsy Of An Unknown Growth,” “Free” and “Slayerish.” Rasmus King said the songs were written to leave room for listeners’ own interpretations. “A Delicate Balance” isn’t a story or about ‘anything’. Just a collection of different feelings. I like that songs mean different things to people. I don’t wanna ruin that. That’s the best part.”
The release follows a busy run of international touring for King, his brother Kyuss and their high school friend Bon Soric. The group toured North America with Eagles of Death Metal before playing its first UK shows, including an appearance at All Points East and a sold-out London headline performance. Dates in Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin were followed by European shows in Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin, as well as Reeperbahn Festival.
After returning to Australia, HEADSEND are scheduled to play Tracks Tour Party at Hotel Brunswick on November 6, followed by Good Music Presents dates at The Brightside in Brisbane on November 13 and Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on November 14. The band is also set to appear at Rolling Sets Festival in Tweed Heads on November 28 and Newcastle on December 5.
