Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross To Score Music Drama ‘Waves’

Nine Inch Nails’ Oscar-winning duo Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are again set to team up to create the score for director Trey Edwards Shults’ musical drama Waves. The pair, who shared an Oscar for Best Original Score in 2011 for their work on The Social Network will provide the music for the film starring This Is Us Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown and Oscar nominee Lucas Hedges (Lady Bird).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is described as a coming-of-age tale that tells two contrasting teen love stories focusing on both suburban teenagers and their parents. The movie, the follow-up to Shults’ acclaimed It Comes By Night, is slated to begin filming in South Florida soon. Nine Inch Nails leader Reznor and Atticus Ross previously paired up for for the Grammy-winning soundtrack to 2013’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo as well 2014’s Gone Girl and 2016’s Before the Flood.

As uDiscover Music previously reported, Nine Inch Nails’ new six-track release, Bad Witch was released on 22 June and the band are embarking on their Cold and Black and Infinite North America in support of it from September to December 2018.
