New Vinyl Editions Mark Tenth Anniversary Of U2’s ‘No Line On The Horizon’

New editions of U2’s 12th studio album No Line On The Horizon will be available in collectable vinyl versions on 22 February from Island, Interscope and UMC. The releases mark the tenth anniversary of the album, first released in February 2009 and produced in chief by Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite.

The album will be available as a remastered, 180gsm black vinyl, double LP, as well as a limited edition, 180gsm double LP ultra-clear vinyl version. Both can be pre-ordered from 9 January.

Both new configurations have the original album pressed on three sides of the vinyl, and will include two additional remixes to celebrate the anniversary, on the fourth side of the disc. These are ‘Magnificent (Wonderland Remix)’ by Pete Tong and Paul Rogers and ‘I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight’ (Redanka’s ‘Kick the Darkness’ Vocal Version).

No Line On The Horizon  was recorded in several locations in 2007 and 2008, including Fez in Morocco, Dublin’s HQ Studios, Platinum Sound in New York  and at Olympic Studios in London. The album debuted at No. 1 in 30 countries around the world.

The original release of the album was previewed by the lead single ‘Get On Your Boots,’ which was a No. 1 hit in U2’s native Ireland and a top five success in numerous countries. It was followed by the release as singles of ‘Magnificent’ (a remix of which was a major hit on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart) and ‘I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight’.

The album’s original artwork has been faithfully reproduced, including a gatefold sleeve, 16-page booklet, printed inner sleeves and heavyweight outer plastic sleeve. A download card for digital access to all 13 tracks — 11 album tracks plus two additional mixes — is included.
