Brian Wilson has announced that he will return to the UK on the Good Vibrations Greatest Hits Live tour. The 12-date itinerary starts on 31 May and concludes on 17 June, and features a night at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

The shows will feature his special guests and fellow Beach Boys alumni Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin. Tickets go on sale on Friday (6) at www.seetickets.com, www.ticketmaster.co.uk and www.brianwilson.com.

The dates continue Wilson’s busy schedule of recent years, in which the Pet Sounds Anniversary World Tour travelled to more than 24 countries for a total of 180 performances between 2016 and 2018. It was named one of Rolling Stone’s top tours of 2017.

The Beach Boys’ co-founder and creative muse released his most recent studio album No Pier Pressure in 2015 on Capitol. The same year was the subject of the acclaimed, award-winning biopic Love & Mercy, which starred Paul Dano and John Cusack as the younger and middle-aged Brian, respectively. The project led to Wilson’s first Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song (Motion Picture) for ‘One Kind Of Love,’ featured in the film.

The Kennedy Centre Honours recipient and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will precede and follow the UK tour with other European dates, including one in Denmark on 29 May. Further shows take place in the second half of June.

Brian Wilson’s 2020 UK tour dates are as follows:

Sunday 31 May The Dome, Brighton
Monday 1 June Royal Albert Hall, London
Thursday 4 June SEC Armadillo, Glasgow
Saturday 6 June The Sage, Gateshead
Monday 8 June Birmingham Symphony Hall
