ABBA will release “Happy New Year” and “Little Things” as 4-inch Tiny Vinyl singles on December 4, 2026. The new “Happy New Year” edition continues a years-long tradition of annual vinyl releases for the song, which returns each year as a collector’s edition for the New Year season. This time, it moves to a new format, with artwork inspired by the original 1980 UK single release. “Felicidad,” the Spanish-language version of the song, appears on the B-side.

“Happy New Year” was written by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson in Barbados in January 1980. They initially conceived it for a musical set around New Year’s Eve, a project that was later abandoned. The song instead appeared on ABBA’s 1980 album Super Trouper. “Felicidad” has its own release history: the Spanish version was issued as a single in Spanish-speaking markets.

The second release pairs “Little Things” with “Ode To Freedom,” both from ABBA’s 2021 album Voyage. “Little Things” was the group’s first Christmas single, released in 2021, and reflects on Christmas morning and family time. Voyage was ABBA’s first studio album since The Visitors in 1981.
