The album combines orchestral arrangements and analog production with contemporary instrumentation and effects. Its closing track, “You Could Be The Sun, I Could Be The Moon,” brings Kiwanuka and Orion Sun together for a duet. The two singers exchange introspective and hopeful lyrics over an orchestral arrangement, gradually moving toward a shared vocal ending.
Luppi described the finale as the destination he had in mind for the record. “In my mind, the entire album slowly moves toward this song. It’s the culmination of both characters’ reflection, private wonderings, and unanswered questions finally becoming united.” The song initially belonged entirely to Kiwanuka, Luppi explained, before he proposed sharing the vocal duties with Orion Sun. Its length gave him room to introduce a second perspective, with subtle changes to the lyrics distinguishing her character’s point of view from Kiwanuka’s.
That decision also shaped the closing passage, where the singers move from their individual perspectives into harmony. Luppi wanted the final vocals to stand on their own, without studio effects, bringing the album to a more intimate conclusion. “The further the song progresses, the closer they become. That’s why I imagined them finally harmonizing at the very end, before everything closes with super-intimate, no-studio-effects, bare-naked vocals. It’s like waking up from a dream. That’s how I always wanted the album to end.”
