Nine Inch Nails have shared a new song, ‘God Break Down the Door.’ You can hear the new song below. It appears on NIN’s forthcoming six-track Bad Witch, which is out on 22 June. The six-track project follows their 2016 EP Not the Actual Events and last year’s Add Violence.
Along with sharing the new song from Bad Witch, Trent Reznor spoke with Zane Lowe on Beats 1. Reznor discussed being “largely inspired” by LCD Soundsystem to create a unique live experience for fans.
“We went to see LCD Soundsystem’s show at the Palladium,” Reznor explained. “You know they could’ve played at the Forum but they chose to play a bunch nights in a smaller room…we left talking about it for a week. We like LCD but we were blown away…it just f_king felt good and it was exciting and it was right there and everybody was into it. We thought we want to do something in the world of that, where it feels like, if you get in to see the show, you get a unique experience. You are not in row a million with the security guard bitching at you.”
He also explained why tickets for NIN’s upcoming tour will be sold strictly in-person at “The Physical World presale events.” “So we just try to play up the idea of this experience that isn’t going to be around,” he said. “And we knew by saying that this is all referring to we’re saying if you want a ticket just show up at the box office and hand somebody money and you’ll get a ticket. And if you are the first person in line you want to be in the front row. There’s no bots taking his tickets. You’re in line. Get it.”
Fans can purchase up to four tickets per show. Visit the band’s website for a complete list of box office locations and further information. Limited quantities of tickets may be released via additional ticketing channels, subject to availability, at a later date to be announced. Ticket inventory available via phone and online channels will include ADA tickets.
