KISS Celebrate 50 Years of ‘Rock And Roll Over’

A deluxe reissue of the album is available in several formats and has been remastered from the master tapes by original producer Eddie Kramer.

KISS are celebrating 50 years of Rock And Roll Over with three new physical variants. A deluxe reissue of the album has been remastered from the master tapes by original producer Eddie Kramer.

The 2026 mix of the album will be available on 1LP and 1CD formats, packaged in a brand-new 50th anniversary rendering of the original album cover featuring dominating gold, red, and black design details. A limited edition premium explosive color vinyl pressing is packaged in a first-ever foil laminate and embossed jacket with metallic gold ink details. Also included is the original printed sleeve with 50th anniversary metallic gold ink printing and a brand-new 20-inch x 30-inch poster.

The band’s fifth album, Rock And Roll Over features the tracks “Hard Luck Woman” and “Calling Dr. Love,” both hit singles in the United States.

Rock And Roll Over’s 50th anniversary is also being celebrated with a Super Deluxe Edition boxset showcasing a 4CD and Blu-ray Audio experience including 130 total tracks with 100 tracks & mixes previously unreleased. The original 1976 album mix is newly remastered from the original stereo analog tapes on CD 1 by Bernie Grundman, who mastered all audio. CD 2 offers up a brand-new album stereo mix by Kramer. 22 unreleased demos, outtakes and alternate mixes have been unearthed on CD 3 including nine Gene Simmons demos, the Davlen Sound Studios demos, extended mixes and the unfinished instrumental track “Queen For A Day.”

CD 4 features selections from all four nights at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo in April 1977. The dates marked KISS’ first performance in Japan and have been newly mixed from the original analog multi-track tapes by Kramer who recorded the shows. The Blu-ray Audio disc offers up a new Dolby Atmos & 5.1 surround mix for the original 1976 album mix by David Frangioni along with a Dolby Atmos & 5.1 surround mix for the new 2026 album mix by Kramer. The Blu-ray disc additionally rocks with high resolution 192kHz & 96kHz 24-bit of the newly remastered original 1976 album stereo mix and the 96kHz 24-bit brand-new 2026 album stereo mix by Kramer.

The Super Deluxe version includes an extensive assortment of bonus Kollectibles including a Rock And Roll Over 1976 Press Kit and a 104-page hardcover book featuring extensive liner notes by Ken Sharp from brand-new interviews with the band and many others.
