On the heels of his MTV Video Music Awards win, Machine Gun Kelly revealed more details about his long-awaited fifth studio album, Tickets to My Downfall, out September 25 via 19XX/Bad Boy/Interscope Records. Produced by friend and frequent collaborator Travis Barker, the 15-track album features appearances from Halsey, Trippie Redd, blackbear, and Iann Dior, and finds Kelly moving away from his hip-hop roots, and, instead, fully embracing pop-punk.

A deluxe edition of the album, featuring four bonus tracks (“misery business,” “roll the windows up,” “in these walls (my house),” featuring PVRS, and “love on the brain”) will also be available exclusively at Target.

Last week, the singer, songwriter, rapper, and actor released a dramatic visual for his anthemic single with blackbear, “my ex’s best friend.” On Instagram, director Van Alpert offered a behind-the-scenes look at the stunts on the video, sharing, “I didn’t want any CGI and wanted to have MGK really surf the car.”

This past Sunday, the artist offered a high-octane performance of the single, as well as “bloody valentine” at the 2020 VMAs. Machine Gun Kelly (aka Colson Baker) also scored a Moon Man in the newly-revived Best Alternative Video category for “my ex’s best friend.” The short-lived award, which was established in 1991 and eliminated after the 1998 ceremony, was originally dominated by Nirvana, who scored consecutive wins in 1992, 1993, and 1994.

Both songs are also moving swiftly up the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. “my ex’s best friend” is currently sitting at No.7 this week, while “bloody valentine” is inching its way towards the Top Ten.

Tickets to My Downfall is available September 25. Scroll down to view the tracklist and preorder it here.
