Jennifer Lopez Announces ‘LOVE?’ Vinyl Editions
A 17-track deluxe set will be pressed across two translucent royal-blue LPs.
Jennifer Lopez’s 2011 album LOVE? is set to make its vinyl debut, featuring the new dance track “Proof of Love.” An expanded deluxe release is a two-LP set pressed on translucent royal-blue vinyl, while a second edition presents a 12-track version.
LOVE? was Lopez’s seventh studio album and first for Island Records. The album was led by “On the Floor,” a smash collaboration with Pitbull that also opened the track list. Its electronic dance-pop sound carried through songs such as “Good Hit” and “Invading My Mind,” while “I’m Into You,” featuring Lil Wayne, and “Papi” became other hit tracks from the record. The original album paired dance-oriented songs with material centered on love and relationships, a theme reflected in its title. “On the Floor” drew on Lopez’s background as a dancer, and the single became the project’s signature track. The album also included “Run the World,” “One Love,” and “Starting Over.”
The expanded 17-track deluxe set adds five deluxe album tracks, including “Hypnotico,” “Everybody’s Girl,” “Charge Me Up,” “Take Care,” and “On The Floor (Ven a Bailar)” featuring Pitbull.
One of the biggest-selling global singles of 2011 on its initial release, “On the Floor” went viral earlier this year after soundtracking a memorably steamy dance scene in Amazon Prime’s sports romance series Off Campus. Lopez joined the fun on social media with the show’s star, Mika Abdalla, to recreate the same dance scene for a TikTok video. Back when the song was first written, J. Lo knew it was something special. “The minute [producer] RedOne played it for me, I made him play it 20 times in a row,” she told MTV in 2011. “I just sat there at the board and I kept listening to it. Because I really feel like, emotionally, I connected to it. But also because of how much I love to dance and how much that’s always been a big part of who I am since I started.”
Just recently, Lopez also announced another major moment in her career. “THE JLO SHOW: Live in Las Vegas” will air Thanksgiving night, Thursday, November 26, at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS and streaming on Paramount+, with an extended version available exclusively on the platform.
