Maroon 5 have announced that its latest single “Beautiful Mistakes” featuring Megan Thee Stallion will be released on Wednesday, March 3. It is available to pre-save here.
“Beautiful Mistake” will be Maroon 5’s first release since October’s “Nobody’s Love (Remix)” featuring Jamaican dancehall star Popcaan. “Nobody Love” and “Memories” are the only two singles to be released by the band since their 2017 platinum-selling album Red Pill Blues. The songs have received gold and platinum certifications, respectively.
Megan Thee Stallion is the latest rapper to collaborate with Maroon 5, joining the likes of Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Future, and A$AP Rocky.
On Instagram, the band teased the upcoming single with a color photo of a drawing of a car captioned: “…fill my nights with broken dreams.” Another post showed a photo of a car with a note reading “feature artist car” taped over the steering wheel.
The “Beautiful Mistakes” cover art is a colorful blend of blue, pink, and orange beneath the distorted song title.
Maroon 5 has not officially unveiled any details about its forthcoming seventh studio album, although “Memories” and “Nobody’s Love” are assumed to be the lead singles, along with “Beautiful Mistakes.”
Red Pill Blues yielded five platinum singles including “Wait,” “Girls Like You” featuring Cardi B (which snagged the band a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance), “Cold” featuring Future, “What Lovers Do” featuring SZA and “Don’t Wanna Know” featuring Kendrick Lamar. The project reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 as their sixth Top 10 album.
Recently, “Memories” surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. Of the milestone, frontman Adam Levine wrote: “Beautiful, bittersweet, and everything else in between. This song means the world to me and the band. To see how people have connected with it has been a miracle. Hang in there everyone… We’ve all in this together.”
