Pearl Jam have confirmed that their first new studio album in nearly five years is on its way. A new song called ‘Can’t Deny Me’, the first track from the much-anticipated follow-up to 2013’s Lightning Bolt was first released as a surprise early download to active members of the band’s fan club over the weekend and has since been made available for purchase from the band’s website and via all digital stores and streaming services.
Can’t Deny Me was co-produced by the band and long-time collaborator Brendan O’Brien and was recorded in Seattle in February. The music for the track was written by guitarist Mike McCready and lyrics by singer Eddie Vedder. Artwork for the single was created by bassist Jeff Ament and videographer Kevin Shuss.
