German-Swedish power duo Lindemann – consisting of Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann and Peter Tägtgren (mastermind of metal bands Pain and Hypocrisy) – have released their third single, ‘Knebel’ off their forthcoming album F & M, on 22 November.

‘Knebel’, which translates to “gag” in English, sees the duo explore some unfamiliar and sometimes unexpected paths. The song also comes with an accompanying video that will premiere the day after the single’s release.

Directed by Zoran Bihac, the video was shot over a number of locations in Russia and Germany. Due to the explicit content, the uncensored version will broadcast only once on knebel.tv. “This is truly one of the toughest videos the band has ever made,” reads the press statement.

The duo also shared an official teaser of the video on their socials, with the full, uncensored video premiering on http://knebel-video.com tonight at 11pm CET.

F & M is the second release from Lindemann and Tägtgren. Their first record, Skills In Pills, reached Gold status in Germany and was entirely in English. For their sophomore release, the duo decided to experiment further, with Lindemann singing entirely in German.

The origin of the Lindemann collaboration started with Till Lindemann and the Hamburg Thalia Theater, while he was working on a modern adaptation of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Hänsel & Gretel. Being Lindermann, this was no typical adaptation, with the show exploring themes of fear, hope, poverty, abundance, cannibalism and death.

Five songs from this critically-acclaimed play have been supplemented with six brand new compositions from the duo to create their new record. The band also released their previously shared single, ‘Ich weiß es nicht’, on physical formats including a CD and 7-inch version.
