Taylor Swift has announced that her new version of her second studio album Fearless “is done and will be with you soon.”

It’s a new recording as part of the global superstar’s plans to re-record her first six albums and will be previewed imminently by “Love Story (Taylor’s Version),” a fresh interpretation of the 2008 album’s lead single. The original track became a US country No.1, a No.4 pop hit and a massive success around the world.

“I’m thrilled to tell you that my new version of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is done and will be with you soon,” Swift posted today (11). “It has 26 songs including 6 never before released songs from the vault. Love Story (Taylor’s Version) will be out tonight.” In November, she described the process of revisiting her early material as “an amazing adventure.”

Reliving 2008

Fearless won Swift her first Album of the Year Grammy Award, spending 11 weeks atop the Billboard 200 and winning diamond certification in the US. Its worldwide sales are estimated at 12 million.

The six unreleased tracks on the new edition were written by Swift between the ages of 13 and 16. In a statement accompanying the announcement, certain letters were capitalized to spell out the date April 9, leading fans to believe that this will be the release date.

“When I think back on the Fearless album and all that you turned into, a completely involuntary smile creeps across my face,” she wrote. “This was the musical era in which so many inside jokes were created between us, so many hugs exchanged and hands touched, so many unbreakable bonds formed.

“So before anything else, let me just say that it was a real honour to get to be a teenager alongside you. And for those of you I’ve come to know more recently than 2008, I am ecstatic that I’ll get to experience a bit of that feeling with you in the very near future – now that I can fully appreciate it in its whimsical, effervescent, chaotic entirety.”
