The Weeknd and his XO label have teamed up with the iconic Japanese street style brand BAPE for a new capsule collection.

The collection is set arrive by week’s end, with The BAPE x XO collection available at A Bathing Ape locations along with their online retail stores and The Weeknd’s official online merch store starting Saturday, 11 January.

This marks the second time the pop-R&B star has partnered with the label, following his collaboration back in 2018.

The capsule includes a number of t-shirts and long-sleeve tees, a corduroy varsity jacket with the Generals, a denim jacket with the Champion logo that says ‘Bathing Ape XO Till We Overdose’, along with hoodies and sweatpants that feature a special camo made exclusively for the new XO collaboration.

Along with the singer himself, Metro Boomin, La Mar Taylor, and Derek Wise of 88Glam also appear as models in the lookbook. The visually driven singer has always been style-savvy and has worked with the likes of LA-based artist and designer Warren Lotas for the 2019 collaboration, Warren Lotas x XO.

The Weeknd closed out 2019 with a bang, after notching two Billboard Top 15 hits with ‘Heartless’ and ‘Blinding Lights’, which peaked at No.1 and No. 11 respectively. This marked his fourth No.1 Billboard hit in just over four years, and charted only in its second week.

The singer (Abel Tesfaye) also made his feature film debut in the critically acclaimed drama Uncut Gems, starring Adam Sandler this December.

While no official date has been confirmed, The Weeknd’s forthcoming album is one of the most anticipated of 2020. When asked when the album was coming by fans, the singer answered, “Of course, I am eventually,” and hinted that he was in the midst of editing a new music video.
