Kenny Whitmire Unveils Surprise Single ‘Woman To Blame’
The new cut follows his August collaboration with Vince Gill.
Georgia-born country star Kenny Whitmire has unveiled a surprise new single, “Woman To Blame.”
The recent viral hit is out now via MCA and was written by Whitmire, Jessi Alexander, and Nick Walsh. The song finds the vocalist yearning for a solid relationship, swearing off long nights on the town for early mornings with the woman he loves.

Whitmire sings: “My buddies keep asking/ What’s gotten into you?/ It’s Friday afternoon/ If they saw her smiling at me, they’d know.”
“I wrote ‘Woman To Blame’ with Nick Walsh and Jessi Alexander, it is probably one of the most real songs I’ve written,” Whitmire explained. “I used to be an ‘out all nighter with the boys acting a fool’ and now I’m in bed by 9 p.m. watching Love Island with a dang good woman by my side.”
The new cut continues an exciting era for the rising country sensation. Last month, Whitmire recruited the one and only Vince Gill for “Movin’ On’s Movin’ In.” Whitmire co-wrote the song with Carson Peters and Dan Alley, and recorded it at Gill’s home studio in Nashville.
Whitmire said Gill has been a major influence on his music since long before the two worked together. “I have listened to country music my whole life, and Vince Gill has played a massive role in the influence of my sound and songs,” he said. “I wouldn’t be who I am today as an artist if it wasn’t for him.”
Not only did Whitmire get to collaborate with one of his idols, but he also got to check an item off his bucket list when he made his Grand Ole Opry debut on August 18.
Earlier in 2026, Whitmire signed with MCA and released his debut EP, Fool In A King Size Bed, on June 12. Before the EP arrived, he released “Me Being Me,” “I Gave Her The Moon,” “You’re Getting Colder,” “Thought Twice About Loving You” and “One Foot In The Grave.”
