Blake promises that his set at these solo piano shows will span his growing catalogue of original music and collaborations.  Visit the artist’s official website for tickets and further information about the forthcoming US shows.

Throughout his career, Blake has established himself as both a highly respected solo artist and one of the music industry’s most influential collaborators. Blake has worked alongside everyone from Frank Ocean, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Bon Iver, Metro Boomin, Rosalía, Andre 3000 and Anderson .Paak, among others.

Blake’s powerful collaborations were on full display at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, with Blake taking home the Award in the category of ‘Best Rap Performance’ for ‘King’s Dead,’ featured on the ground-breaking Black Panther soundtrack.

As uDiscover Music previously reported, The Grammy Museum welcomed James Blake for a conversation and performance, hosted by Scott Goldman, in October. During the interview, the versatile and much-acclaimed musician discussed a series of hot topics including his new album, Assume Form, and his collaboration with stars as diverse as Rosalia, Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé and more.

On choosing his collaborators, Blake said, ““There are certain artists who resonate with me on a wavelength that I can’t explain. Certainly, Beyonce was in my head from when I was 15. You know, I was the boy in the class whose first record was ‘Writing’s On The Wall’. I also listened to a load of D’Angelo and Lauryn Hill, while at the same time I got into Crosby Stills Nash and Young and Joni Mitchell through my Dad.

“Then Kendrick [Lamar] put out a lot of music during the time I was making my first and second albums, and I really analysed his lyrics. At that time, I didn’t have a TV, just a hi-fi system and listened to vinyl all the time. It’s such a pleasure to do that – and it became my recreational home life for a long time.”

James Blake plays the following Solo Piano shows:

10 December: Los Angeles, Ace Theatre
11 December: Los Angeles, Ace Theatre
17 December: New York, Harvey Theatre
18 December: New York, Harvey Theatre.
