Argentine Trio TRÍADA Reworks C. Tangana’s ‘Un Veneno’

Argentine trio TRÍADA has released its version of C. Tangana’s “Un Veneno,” recasting the Spanish rapper’s song with Latin percussion, violins and bandoneón. The Buenos Aires group — Diamela Spina on percussion and vocals, Aylen Reynoso on guitar, and Julia Percowicz on vocals — moves away from the song’s bolero rhythm for a more upbeat arrangement while keeping its focus on unrequited love and the pain of giving everything to a relationship without receiving the same in return.

TRÍADA’s interpretation leans into sounds closely tied to Argentina, with bandoneón adding a tango-associated texture alongside the strings and percussion. Rather than reproduce C. Tangana’s original arrangement, the trio reframes the song around its own instrumental setup and vocal blend.

TRÍADA began taking shape at a performing arts high school in Buenos Aires, where Spina, Reynoso and Percowicz recorded videos together after class. Their early repertoire included Bossa Nova songs such as João Gilberto’s “O Pato,” and one video of the song went on to receive more than two million views. “O Pato” later became TRÍADA’s first proper release. The group’s name refers to a musical triad, three notes that form a chord, reflecting the three-member lineup. Formed in 2023, the band has described its Argentine and broader Latin American roots as a constant in its work.

In 2025, TRÍADA released its debut EP De Versiones y Alma, which presented romantic covers from different parts of the world through the band’s Argentine arrangements. The project drew coverage from HOLA! and Remezcla. In 2026, TRÍADA followed the EP with “Manos de Sal,” its first original song and first release since De Versiones y Alma. “Manos de Sal” paired vibrant percussion with Aylen Reynoso’s guitar as the group wrote about a powerful relationship that can leave someone feeling lost and, at other moments, found.
