Taylor Swift Unveils New Album ‘Reputation’ And New Single

Taylor Swift has finally confirmed new details of a brand new album, after days of teasing in the media. Entitled Reputation, Swift’s sixth album has been slated for release on 10 November 2017 and the singer released her comeback single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ to iTunes and streaming services today. The track dropped late last night in the US (11.30pm ET) along with a lyric video.

Swift fuelled speculation of new music after posting cryptic Instagram videos featuring a lo-resolution snake which arrived after a complete social media blackout last week on the three-year anniversary of her hit single ‘Shake It Off.’

This new announcement has sent fans’ excitement into overdrive with the hope that Taylor Swift will also unveil her new single’s video at this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards which is set to be hosted by her long-time rival Katy Perry.

A ten-time Grammy Award-winning star’s most recent album was chart-topping sensation 1989 which was released in 2014. Swift’s fourth No 1 US album, 1989 moved over 1.2 million copies in its first week, and eventually sold over 6 million copies in North America alone. More recently, Swift saw chart success with her 2016 Zayn duet ‘I Don’t Want To Live Forever’, from Fifty Shades Darker, which peaked at No 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
