Amy Winehouse’s ‘Rehab’ Performance From ‘The Album Chart Show’ Hits YouTube
The 2006 British TV appearance captured the legendary singer at the height of her Back To Black campaign.
It’s a great day to be an Amy Winehouse fan. A month after unearthed TV footage from the singer’s Back To Black promo campaign made its way online, another essential live TV performance from the same era has gone live at the singer’s official YouTube page.
The latest Winehouse clip to resurface finds her singing “Rehab,” Back To Black’s iconic lead single, on host Joe Mace’s British TV series The Album Chart Show in 2006. With a glow in her eye, Winehouse belted out the modern-tinted retro soul tune that was in the process of becoming her signature hit.

Written by Winehouse and produced by Mark Ronson, “Rehab” was the song that shot Winehouse to superstardom all around the world. In the United States, it soared to the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 and was honored with three Grammys, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Back home in England, “Rehab” also cracked the top 10 and won an Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song. As seen in the newly uploaded clip, the song remains a testament to her incomparable talent and charisma.
The “Rehab” footage from The Album Chart Show follows the recent excavation of Winehouse’s 2007 performance of “You Know I’m No Good” on Friday Night Project, another UK variety show from the era. The performance coincided with the song’s release as the second Back To Black single at the dawn of the new year.
Back To Black will reach its 20th anniversary this fall. Produced by Ronson and Salaam Remi with backing from the Dap-Kings, the album presented Winehouse at the peak of her powers. With more than 20 million in worldwide sales, it stands as the second best selling album of the 21st century in the UK and is universally recognized as a modern classic.
