Culture Club have announced the release of a new album which coincides with their previously announced UK and Ireland arena tour this autumn. The new record is entitled Life and it has been slated for release on 26 October via frontman Boy George’s own imprint, VG (Very Good) Records. You can see the cover art above here.
Life features the original Culture Club line-up including the iconic Boy George, guitarist Roy Hay, bassist Mikey Craig and drummer Jon Moss and it’s their first studio album of original material in nearly 20 years. The band previously attempted to record a new album in 2016, but those recordings were shelved.
To celebrate the announcement, Culture Club have shared the album’s first single, ‘Let Somebody Love You’, a popular live fixture which has received the studio treatment for the first time. You can hear the song below.
The band will be playing songs from their new album along with all their topping hits from the 1980s, including ‘Do You Really Want To Hurt Me’ and ‘Karma Chameleon’, when they bring their much-anticipated Life tour to UK arenas this autumn. Support for Culture Club’s shows will be provided by Belinda Carlisle and the Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey.
