The Jonas Brothers have been added to the already star-studded performance line-up for the 2019 American Music Awards.
The sibling trio is partnering with T-Mobile to bring the fun across coasts, delivering a special live performance from their sold-out Boston tour stop. It will be their first time on the AMAs since 2007. They’re also nominated for two awards this year, favourite duo or group – pop/rock and favourite song – pop/rock.
At the American Music Awards, The Jonas Brothers will be joining previously announced performers Kesha, Big Freedia, Shania Twain, Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, Lizzo, Thomas Rhett and Artist of the Decade recipient Taylor Swift.
As uDiscover Music previously reported, Post Malone leads the list of nominees for the 2019 AMAs with seven nods, with Ariana Grande and first-time nominee Billie Eilish following with six each. Eilish is up for new artist of the year, competing against Luke Combs, Lil Nas X, Lizzo and Ella Mai. Malone and Grande are both nominated for one of the night’s biggest honours, artist of the year, alongside Halsey, Drake and Taylor Swift.
Swift currently holds the most wins (four) in the category and might go on to surpass Michael Jackson’s record for most AMAs of all time if she wins two of the five categories she’s nominated in.
Elton John, meanwhile, received a nod for the Tour of the Year trophy for his ongoing Farewell Yellow Brick Road trek. The pop-rock legend will compete for the prize against his pal Ed Sheeran, BTS, Ariana Grande and Pink.
Queen are vying for the Favourite Soundtrack honour for the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack. The other nominees in the category are the A Star Is Born soundtrack by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper and the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack.
The 2019 American Music Awards, hosted by Ciara, will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on 24 November at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Voting is still open until 20 November for all categories.
