Lil Wayne returns with the release of his highly anticipated 13th solo studio album, symbolically titled, Funeral via Young Money Records/Republic Records.

The 24-track album is feature- heavy, including collaborations with Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Lil Baby, The-Dream, XXXTentacion, Jay Rock, Takeoff, Adam Levine, OT Genasis and Lil Twist.

Weezy also enlisted a number of A-list producers including Wayne’s old collaborator Mannie Fresh, Mike WiLL Made-It, STREETRUNNER, Jahlil Beats, Ben Billions, Murda Beatz, Cool & Dre and more.

Funeral follows the massive success of Lil Wayne’s long-awaited, RIAA-certified platinum album, Tha Carter V, which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200.

With an impressive tracklist, the album feels like an ambitious mixtape release. While Wayne’s done rock and concept albums before, Funeral is more straightforward, with Weezy doing what he does best, rapping circles around the rest.

To celebrate the album, the MC announced he’ll be hosting multiple events in Miami during Super Bowl weekend. Tonight, he will headline the ‘Delano Live Presented by TIDAL’ concert series. Tomorrow, he will host an album release party presented by Rap Rotation, Amazon Music’s home for hip-hop in heavy rotation.

Outside of announcing the album last week, Wayne didn’t reveal anything about Funeral or any singles in advance.

This past year saw Wayne team up with blink-182 for a massive co-headlining tour across North America. Following the tour, the rapper connected with Blink drummer Travis Barker and Rick Ross on the collaborative single ‘Gimme Brain’, for Barker new label, DTA Records.
