Zane Lowe gave The Chemical Brothers’ brand new track MAH its world premiere on his Apple Music ‘Beats 1’ show at 5pm GMT today and now the band have shared the track, which is accompanied by a visual filmed at their recent sold-out London shows at London’s Alexandra Palace. Directed by Marcus Lyall and featuring visuals created by Adam Smith & Lyall, the clip captures a taste of the electronic duo’s live spectacle, regarded as one of the best shows in the world, and you can check it out below.

As uDiscover Music previously reported, Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons have been teasing new music recently across their social platforms recently and they officially unveiled ‘MAH’s  imminent arrival on Sunday, 6 January.

MAH is the follow-up to The Chemical Brothers’ widely-acclaimed ‘Free Yourself’, which was released in September 2018 and was later accompanied by an extraordinary video filmed by the band’s long-standing collaborators, Dom & Nic.

Eight months in the making, the clip for ‘Free Yourself’ uses cutting-edge visual effects and motion capture technology to tell a near-future story of factory robots freeing themselves.

Of working on ‘Free Yourself’, the Chemicals’ long-term collaborative duo Dom&Nic said: “Why would artificial intelligence behave any different to humans discovering music and dance for the first time? We’ve all seen humans dancing brilliantly like robots, we’ve also seen robots dancing brilliantly like robots but you’ve never seen robots dancing badly like humans. That’s new… The chemical brothers music allows people to get out of their box at a gig or listening to the record – it’s a moment of frenzied abandonment to the music.”

The Chemical Brothers will also be releasing their long-awaited new album, No Geography, this spring.  Their new album much-anticipated follow-up to 2015’s Grammy-nominated Born In The Echoes, which provided the band with their sixth consecutive No. 1 in the UK.

That record included guest appearances from Q-Tip, Ali Love and Beck and featured promo videos shot by Oscar-winning director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of SleepThe Green Hornet) and award winning director duo Dom&Nic (Oasis, David Bowie & Trent Reznor, Supergrass),  plus experimentation in virtual reality with Chris Milk.  Pitchfork praised Born In The Echoes as “some of the best pure pop songs Rowlands and Simons have ever made” while NME declared it “a bold reinvention of the Chemical Brothers’ sound”. The duo have sold more than 12 million albums and six million singles worldwide.
