Massive Attack Announce North American Dates For ‘Mezzanine’ Tour

Following the news of their world tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark 1998 album Mezzanine, Massive Attack have revealed the date for the North American leg of their tour.

The Bristol duo also shared they’ll be playing shows with Cocteau Twins’ Liz Fraser, who lent her vocals to the Mezzanine single ‘Teardrop’.

As uDiscover previously reported, the show aims to re-imagine Mezzanine using “custom audio reconstructed from the original samples and influences.”

As part of the album’s anniversary celebrations, the band’s classic is also being reissued both on CD and an extended box set format that includes two coloured LPs while a third disc will feature previously-unheard Mad Professor remixes from the original 1998 sessions, set for release on 16 November.

For the more esoteric collectors, the band also encoded the album into DNA, which in turn was put into cans of matte black spraypaint.
