Paul McCartney Announces ‘Freshen Up’ North American Dates For 2019

The ‘Freshen Up’ dates are in support of the star’s new album ‘Egypt Station’, released on 7 September.

Ahead of his much-anticipated new album Egypt Station, Paul McCartney has announced the Freshen Up Tour of North America for 2019. The trek includes a string of dates that kick off on May 27 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Along with the Freshen Up US tour, he’s set to play dates in Canada and will be hitting cities across Europe until December. McCartney will also be performing at Austin City Limits 2018 in October. As uDiscover Music previously reported, Egypt Station arrives on 7 September. It’s the legendary Beatle’s first album in five years, following 2013’s New. So far, he’s shared the singles ‘I Don’t Know,’ ‘Come on to Me,’ and his “raunchy love song” ‘Fuh You.’

Also in Paul McCartney news, for the first time in two decades the iconic singer-songwriter is inside the top 10 of Billboard’s Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart.“ ‘Come On to Me’ ascended 12-6 on the Adult Alternative Songs ranking dated  1 September. In doing so, McCartney has logged his first top 10 on an airplay chart by himself since 1997. That’s when ‘The World Tonight,’ from 1997’s Flaming Pie, peaked at No. 9 on the Adult Alternative Songs chart dated June 21, 1997.
