Paul McCartney has posted a video of himself and his band backstage on July 7, the night of their gig in Pittsburgh, which just happened to be the 74th birthday of one Ringo Starr.

The clip, which you can see below, has Paul reminiscing about Ringo and his drumming, before cutting to a short clip of Macca and the band performing ‘Yellow Submarine’ as a tribute at the Pittsburgh show.

Meanwhile, Ringo himself is just completing his own North American tour, with the 13th version of his All-Starr Band. The tour, which started on June 6, culminates tonight (July 19) at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The band includes such luminaries as Todd Rundgren, Steve Lukather of Toto, Gregg Rolie (Santana, Journey) and Richard Page, of Mr. Mister fame. “Thanks for the great night in Bend last night,” tweets Ringo. “Back in LA ready for the Greek tomorrow peace and love R.”
