As one of the biggest stars of 2019, it’s only fitting that Post Malone is on hand to ring in the new year when he will perform at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the annual concert will be televised live from Times Square, New York, where Malone will perform just before the ball drops.

Joining him will be another breakout act of 2019, K-pop band BTS, along with country singer-songwriter Sam Hunt and Alanis Morissette, performing with the cast of the hit Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill.

Along with the musical performances, the event’s sponsor YouTube will take a look back at the biggest trends on the platform from the past decade and make a surprise announcement.

“We are so lucky to have Post Malone performing for the world right before the iconic ball drop,” Mark Bracco, executive producer and EVP, programming and development, Dick Clark productions, said in a press statement. “Add to that superstars like BTS, Sam Hunt and Alanis Morrissette and it promises to be a memorable New Year’s Eve in Times Square.”

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020, will air live on 31 December beginning at 8 pm ET on ABC, featuring five-and-a-half hours of special performances and reports on New Year’s celebrations around the world.

Ryan Seacrest will do the countdown to midnight from Times Square in New York City, alongside co-host actress Lucy Hale, while singer Ciara will return as host of the Hollywood Party, and Broadway star Billy Porter will lead the Central Time Zone celebration in New Orleans. The New Orleans telecast will also feature guest stars Usher and Sheryl Crow with special performances.

Meanwhile the Ciara-hosted West Coast telecast will feature its own stable of stars including Megan Thee Stallion, Dan + Shay and Paula Abdul. Other performers during the Hollywood celebration will be Kelsea Ballerini, Anthony Ramos, Green Day, Blanco Brown, Dua Lipa, Ava Max, Salt-N-Pepa and SHAED.

“As we ring in a new decade and my 15th year hosting the show, I’m so excited to welcome the talented Lucy Hale to the stage with me,” Seacrest said in a statement. “It’s going to be a powerhouse year with Billy and Ciara and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!”
