Virgin EMI has announced plans for their first-ever ‘Lockdown Live’, a multi-genre live music experience featuring some of their biggest artists in support of Global Citizen and the World Health Organisation (WHO)’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

The three-day live-streamed music festival will take place 3-5 April and will include 32 acts across pop, alternative, urban and dance music. Each artist will play live from their homes and all of the performances will be live-streamed on the festival’s official website.

The festival begins with the Rhapsody Stage supported by Jungle Creations and features performances by Hrvy, The Vamps, Alessia Cara, Tori Kelly, DJ Jay Pryor and SG Lewis.

Day two will highlight talent from the alternative scene on the Fools Gold Stage, with rising neo-soul wonder Lily Moore, Olivia Dean, Twin Atlantic and Vera Blue rounding out the line-up.

While the third and final day takes place at the virtual Encore Stage, sponsored by Seasoned at Buzzfeed UK. The Encore stage will feature both UK and international talent including Duchess, Maya B, Wauve and Adekunle Gold.

‘Lockdown Live’ is the latest in a number of star-studded live-stream events including Twitch Stream Aid, Elton John and iHeart’s ‘Living Room Concert For America’, Beatport’s 34-hour DJ event and The Fader’s Digital FORT that happened in lieu of the magazine’s cancelled SXSW showcase in March.
