Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival Returns With Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh And Bonnie Raitt

Eric Clapton announced his Crossroads Guitar Festival will return for the first time in six years with a killer line-up that includes Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, Billy Gibbons, Bonnie Raitt and more.

The festival will take place 20-21 September at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas and feature different performers on each day, through Clapton will perform both days of the festival.

The bill boasts a who’s who of guitar legends and veterans in rock and blues including Buddy Guy Band, Jeff Beck, Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Los Lobos, Keb Mo, Vince Gill, Robert Cray, Gary Clark Jr and Sheryl Crow as well as newcomers like singer-songwriter James Bay.

Tickets for the festival go on sale 5 April at 10am CT, with pre-sale access for Citi cardholders. All proceeds will go towards the Crossroads Centre in Antigua, a rehab centre Clapton founded in the Caribbean.

In addition to the performances, the festival will also include a Guitar Center Village where top guitar manufacturers will host interactive exhibits, and main stage artists will participate in master guitar clinics and solo performances.

The last Crossroads Guitar Festival took place in April 2013 at Madison Square Garden in New York City with an equally impressive bill that featured BB King, The Band’s Robbie Roberton, Keith Richards, among others.

Clapton first founded the drug and alcohol treatment facility in Antigua in 1997 and organized the first festival in 2004. Since then, he’s put on the festival every three years with the exception of 2016.
