“Do For Love” features utilises a vocal sample from “What You Won’t Do for Love” by Bobby Caldwell and its recording was produced by Soulshock & Karlin. It charted at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and at 12 in the U.K. One of the hip-hop icon’s most enduring tracks, “Do For Love” was later certified Gold in North America on March 31, 1998, selling over 500,000 copies.

The new merch collection was also inspired by 2Pac’s “The Rose That Grew From Concrete,” a highly personal poem which also lent its title to the artist’s posthumously published poetry collection from 2000 which included a selection of his poems written from 1989 to 1991.

Born as Lesane Parish Crooks, 2Pac is widely regarded as one of the most influential musical artists of the 20th century and a prominent political activist for Black America. In addition to his music career, 2Pac also wrote poetry and starred in films. He is among the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold more than 75 million records worldwide, while his content has been noted for addressing social injustice, political issues, and the marginalization of other African-Americans despite being synonymous with gangsta rap. Prior to his death by homicide in September 1996, his recording career also included collaborations with other influential rap artists such as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Outlawz.
