The Beastie Boys continue their 30th anniversary celebrations of their pioneering release, Paul’s Boutique, releasing rare digital remixes of ‘Hey Ladies’ and ‘Shadrach’.

These remixes follow the release of An Exciting Evening At Home With Shadrach, Meshach And Abednego and the Love American Style EPs that dropped last Friday. This marks the first time the majority of these tracks are being made available digitally.

All of the ‘Hey Ladies’ and ‘Shadrach’ remixes were initially part of the Criterion two-disc The Beastie Boys DVD Video Anthology originally released in 2000, that collected 18 of the group’s videos along with 40 remixes of their original hits.

When it came to assembling the collection, the Beasties reached out to various friends and collaborators to put their spin on iconic tracks from throughout their discography including LA-based DJ and Stones Throw label founder Peanut Butter Wolf, DJ and hip-hop producer Paul Nice and veteran producer and MF Doom collaborator Chuck Bass, among others.

As part of the ongoing digital rollout, the group will release remix versions of ‘Shake Your Rump’ and ‘Looking Down The Barrel Of A Gun’ next Friday on 2 August.

Surviving Beastie Boys members Mike Diamond (Mike D) and Adam Horovitz (Ad-Rock) also recently wrapped up their book tour for their critically-acclaimed memoir, The Beastie Boys Book and were in Brooklyn this week for the premiere of their special exhibit at New York’s Beyond The Streets experience, that explores the group’s influence on street art culture over the last three decades.
