Trench Baddie runs 17 tracks and includes appearances from Queen Key, Mudbaby Ru, Bunna B, YKNIECE, Lil M.U., Hxllywood and FWC Big Key. Among the other songs on the project are “Poundcake,” “The Breakup Song” featuring Bunna B and the YKNIECE-assisted “Cutwater Remix.” The collection marks Glizzy Glow’s debut mixtape and brings together material from her recent run of releases.
One of Glizzy Glow’s earlier releases, “CUTWATER,” has generated more than 15 million streams across platforms and 3 million views on YouTube, according to a press release. The song later received a remix with YKNIECE and led to the CUTWATER Tour.
Glizzy Glow first drew local attention in 2019 after friends and cousins encouraged her to freestyle during a casual session at home. She recorded a remix of Soulja Boy’s “Shootout,” which went viral in Chicago that year. By 2023, she was booking her own shows, self-releasing music and developing concepts for her videos. Before focusing on music, she had worked as a salon owner and hair model, and later applied that independent business experience to managing her early music career.
