After teasing new music all week, Katy Perry releases her hotly anticipated new single, ‘Daisies’, a triumphant single about staying true to oneself.
Produced by The Monsters & Strangerz (Zedd, Halsey, Maroon 5). Perry wrote the song with Jon Bellion, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Michael Pollack and The Monsters’ Jordan K Johnson and Stefan Johnson.

“I’m the long shot, I’m the Hail Mary,” Perry sings, reminding us of the importance of betting on ourselves.

Along with the new single, Perry also shared an official music video, featuring the pop icon performing in a breathtaking natural setting shot by filmmaker Liza Voloshin from a safe social distance.
‘Daisies’ is the latest single from KP5, as fans refer to Perry’s as-yet-untitled fifth studio album, which will be released on 14 August via Capitol Records. The singer confirmed the date with a little help from Amazon’s Alexa.

Perry is joining Amazon Music to bring awareness to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. Using cutting edge technology, she will also perform ‘Daisies’ on the American Idol season finale this Sunday, 17 May.
