Mika Announces U.K. And Ireland ‘Apocalypse Calypso’ Tour Dates
The singer-songwriter’s U.K. dates include a major show at London’s Eventim Apollo on April 9, 2024.
Mika has announced the UK and Ireland leg of his “Apocalypse Calypso” Tour for Spring 2024.
The artist has lined up shows in Brighton, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Dublin and London, where he’ll headline the Eventim Apollo, between April 4 and 11. Tickets for all the shows go on general sale at 10am this Friday, September 29.
The run will follow an extensive, previously announced tour of mainland Europe, which begins in Bordeaux on March 1 and will wrap up on April 2 in Berlin. Tickets for those dates are already on sale.
Mika recently released the new single “C’est la Vie,” the first track to be shared from his new album, for which he sings exclusively in French. The follow-up to 2019’s My Name Is Michael Holbrook is due out on December 1 through Island Def Jam France.
Mika began his pop career in 2007 with the single “Grace Kelly,” which went on to sell over 3 million copies worldwide and was the second British single ever to top the chart on downloads alone. His second album The Boy Who Knew Too Much released in 2009 continued the trend, making it into the top ten in over 10 worldwide and included the hits “We Are Golden,” “Blame It On The Girls” and “Rain.”
In May 2022, after a triumphant return to Coachella, Mika had the honor of acting as an international host of that year’s Eurovision Song Contest. The singer dazzled the audience with a show-stopping medley at the finale with audience figures reaching 161 million viewers.
