The 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards nominees have been announced, with Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, and Jelly Roll among the artists shortlisted for Entertainer of the Year. (Stapleton took home that honor at last year’s ACM ceremony.)

Luke Combs leads the nominations for the 59th annual ceremony overall with eight nods, followed by Megan Moroney and Wallen with six each. Wilson and Stapleton both received five nominations. Nominated for duo of the year are The War and Treaty and Brothers Osborne, the latter of whom won the award last year.

The ACM Awards will be available to stream exclusively via Prime Video on May 16 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The broadcast will be live from the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas. Hosts and performers have not yet been announced, but the ACM promises information will be shared “very soon.” Last year’s ceremony featured a performance from Dolly Parton, as well as songs from Keith Urban, The War and Treaty, and Jordan Davis.

The Academy has also planned a series of events for ACM Awards Week, including ‘Parker McCollum + Friends: ACM Lifting Lives LIVE’ with proceeds supporting ACM Lifting Lives, the philanthropic partner of the Academy of Country Music, dedicated to improving lives through the power of music. Ticket information can be found via AXS.

The Academy of Country Music was founded in 1964 in Los Angeles with the goal to promote country music in the Western 13 states and to support artists based in them. Their first awards show was hosted in 1966, becoming the first country music awards program held by a major organization. The awards show hit the TV airwaves in 1972, broadcast for the first time in national syndication on the ABC network. The ACM Awards later moved to NBC, then CBS, and finally to Prime Video.
